Zombie Not Sharing Dinner

Bad zombie. This zombie girl can only be called selfish, as she snarls and fights over being asked to share her food by an unknown and unnamed zombie, who may just have to go to bed without dinner.

But I guess that could be profitable for someone depending on if you're the zombie or you're the dinner.

Honestly though, she is just giving girl zombie's a bad name.

Pride and Prejudice Zombies

Zombies: Pride and Prejudice

Now who would have thought to put zombies together with Pride and Prejudice. Is this a girly thing or what?

What about those choppers? Definitely needs a dental plan. Hey, even zombies need a dental plan, don't they?

Anyway, pretty stange zombie photo on the book cover.

AMC Orders "The Walking Dead"

Zombie TV on AMC

The Walking Dead is Robert Kirkman's highly popular post-apocalyptic drama which tells the tale of what happens in the time after zombies end up roaming and ruling the earth.

This isn't just a story about blood and gore, but also takes a deeper look into the pressure and tension related to survivors of the apocalypse and how they respond in the midst of attempting to survive not only the zombies, but themselves as well.

It also looks at how the major characters in the story change from the beginning of the tragedy and the turmoil it generates and what they are willing to do in order to survive.

Joel Stillerman, AMC’s senior vice president of original programming, production and digital content, said this about ordering the pilot for the show: “The Walking Dead and The Killing are alone in their class in terms of the quality of the storytelling. Both have remarkable talent behind them, and present that rare opportunity to raise the bar significantly within a genre. It is a very exciting next step in our continuing commitment to presenting smart, sophisticated storytelling with broad appeal.”

Punk Zombie Halloween Costume

Punk Zombie Halloween Costume

Who wants to dress up for Halloween as a punk when you can go much further and be a punk Halloween zombie. You'll surely put all those punk costumes to shame when you come as a punk undead. Hehe.

While the zombie Halloween costume covering the chest is very cool, let's face it, it's the punk zombie Halloween mask that makes this costume.

How about that spiked zombie look? What more could you want? Added together, this is a very cool Halloween costume.

TV Series 'The Walking Dead'

'The Walking Dead' Coming to AMC

The horror genre has been hopping lately, with all the vampire, werewolf stories or sub-stories capturing the imaginations and attention of people all over; especially with Twilight and True Blood ... and soon to come The Vampire Diaries.

Riding that interest, AMC is about to release a new series based on an adaptation from the graphic novel "The Walking Dead," written by Robert Kirkman and illustrated by Frank Darabont. Apparently, Frank Darabont will be directing and writing the series.

According to Joel Stillerman, VP of programming, production and original content for AMC, the series will stay faithful to the tone and feel of the original stories.

While I'm sure there will be some zombie action in the storyline, the overall feel of the novels was to focus on the suvivors of a zombie apocalypse and how the drama of their lives play out in the aftermath. In other words, it's a survival story. Still sounds pretty cool; especially with Darabont signing on.

Bizarre Art | Celebrities as Zombies

Bizarre Art - Celebrity Zombies

There are a number of images of celebrities if they were zombies, and I've included a couple of them that you should be able to recognize.

Ok. One's obvious, but Madonna really doesn't look much different than she usually does.

But I think it's pretty cool the way they are made up and portrayed. Someone auditioning for zombie acting jobs?

Horror Gothic Zombie Photos

Horror Gothic Fashion Photo Shoot

Here are some pretty interesting and dark photos from a fashion shoot which was evidently made for horror fans.

It displays a woman who seems to be battling zombies and/or the undead for herself and her soul.

The pale skin cover of the male zombie models is very effective and the look of the woman under attack is fantastic as well.

This was done by fashion photographer Jean-François Campos for Flair Magazine near the end of 2008.

Appropriately the photo spread was named 'Gotica.' For more goth fashion zombie photos go here.

Zombie Elvis Sword Tattoo

Bizarre Tattoos

Now there are all sorts of themes running through this zombie tattoo, the first obviously the zombie evidently just finishing up feeding.

The second is the sword he's carrying on his back, which seemingly was part of acquiring his meal, if he needed it.

But the funny one and easy to miss theme is the Elvis look. See that hair? Who has a caricature of hair like that other than Elvis? But then look at that set of curled up lips and you know this is an zombie killer Elvis.

That's all we need loose, a zombie Elvis carrying a sword feeding on his helpless fans.

Zombie Fighters Prepare!

Zombies

You know they're coming. The zombies will soon be released in an attack around the world, and only those prepared will survive.

So I thought I'd include the ultimate in zombie survival gear, which simply includes the words: ‘In Case Of Zombies Break Glass.’

Inluded in your zombie survival kit is a shotgun, two handguns and two grenades.

This is too funny.

Bizarre Celebrations | Zombie Festivals

Bizarre Celebrations

One of the more recent bizarre festival and celebration has been the zombie walk or zombie festival. One of those has started to be held annually in Madrid, Spain, and includes all the zombie accessories you need to look the part.

The asserted idea behind holding the festival is that there is no more room in hell, so the undead now walk the streets of Madrid.

Of course makeup stores in the area are more than glad to offer the zombie wannabees their choice of accessories like "terror eyes" to mimic the undead.

LKM, a Spanish makeup business is behind the organization of the festival.

Bizarre Tattoos | Full Body Zombie Tattoos

Bizarre Tattoos

Most of us have seen the image of 'zombie' with his face looking straight at us, but here's a few that haven't been seen as much of his full body zombie tattoo.

I guess he could get parts in a movie or something like that to make a living, but what else would he do? That's the case with a lot of people that take tattooing to the next level.

It's one thing to get a zombie tattoo, but as you can see, it's another thing to get tattooed as a zombie. Pretty interesting.

Bizarre Art Trends | "Untitled Hardcore Zombie Project" from Bruce LaBruce

Bizarre Art Trends

When I found this my immediate reaction was: whaaaat? At first I thought it was really going to be edgy, because of the crazy photo you see with Tony Ward (Madonna's former something) putting the gun to his temple.

But after going through a number of the photos, there's just too much blood for me. Not in the squeamish way, but just in a way that makes it too unreal, fake, and boring; it takes over the photos, and you lose the models and mostly irrelevant posing.

The best picture is the one I mentioned. The rest don't do much for me.

I suppose there's supposed to be a shock factor here, but to me it doesn't happen.

This production is by porn/horror producer Bruce LaBruce, and is running at the LA Peres Project until June 27.

Bizarre Celebrations | Celebrating 30 Years of Fangoria

Bizarre Celebrations

Fangoria recently celebrated its 30th year of bringing all the horror and gore it could think of to horror genre fans.

Horror fans were definitely up to the challenge of dressing in the most macabre creations they could think of.

Some of those included schoolgirl zombies, killer condoms, nurse zombies and blood baths, among a plethora of others.

There was the obligatory horror movies for fans to watch, along with attempts for zombie walkers to break the record.

Fangoria fans had a blast.
