Latina Vampires: Why We Need to Guard our Borders

Now here's another reason we need the national guard patrolling our borders, although you better get out the holy water and crosses if you want to effectively keep these illegals from entering the U.S.

This is an image from George Patsouras, although I can't see the Latina in the female vampire, maybe she went through a physical change when she got bitten.

Either way, pretty cool Latina vampire photo.

Below is another female vampire from Patsouras. I like this one even better than the one above.

Bizarre Female Vampire Photo Fangs

Female Vampire Photo

This did make me wonder if she had these implanted, extended, or were just fakes that looked good.

Pretty cool either way. It reminds of a girl I worked with at a retail store once who I had nicknamed fang, because she had her teeth look similar to these, and that was her natural teeth.

Talk about being ready for a good vampire acting role with teeth like that!

Bizarre, Weird, Strange Vampire Photo

Vampire Photo

This vampire photo of the guy evidently in role play, seems to say to me he is taking himself a little too seriously, although I have to admit it's effective and funny to me.

Those tattoos with the talons add a nice touch as well. Definitely a bizarre, weird vampire photo, but one most people will appreciate for what it is.

Bizarre Art | Vampire Woman Poster

Bizarre Art Trends

Vampires will be in for some time, at least until the entire Twilight series passes through the theaters, and that will probably still be several more years before that is through.

So it's no surprise to find an increasing interest in vampires and vampire art, and this female vampire shown here is very well done to me.

Looks like she just got done feeding and someone interrupted her or wanted a piece of the action.

Good piece of vampire art.

Bizarre Behavior | Lady Gaga Wears Vampire Fangs at Heathrow

Bizarre Behavior Lady Gaga

I think Lady Gaga is using up her fifteen minutes of fame, and it seems more and more people are glad it's coming to an end.

The latest attempt from the talentless entertainer was to put a pair of vampire fangs in her mouth and walk through Heathrow airport. How exciting!

You would have even thought from some of the responses from the media that this was an important event of some type. Yawn.

Lady Gaga was returning from a concert in Tel Aviv, Israel, where reviews of her performance were poor at best.

True Blood | Evan Rachel Wood

Vampire Queen Evan Rachel Wood

Here's a first look at photos of Evan Rachel Wood playing the part of vampire - Queen Sophie-Ann on True Blood.

It seems Wood won't have a hard time playing the part, as you know she dated the bizarre Marilyn Manson over a two-year period.

Wood and her character will make their first appearance on the show on August 30.

Creator of the show Alan Ball said concerning the vampire queen that “nobody’s ever entirely happy to see. She’s very powerful, capricious and most likely insane.”

Ball added that in the following season fans will discover “[She] has more than one secret agenda, which we will slowly become aware of over season 3.”

It's unclear at this time whether Wood will be seen in the series past the two episodes planned in season two.

New Moon Volturi Clan Photos

Vampire Photos of Volturi Clan from Twilight Saga

The latest addition to the Twilight story - the Volturi Clan - have been creating quite a stir, and photos have been 'leaked' online of head shots of the vampire clan, who will make an appearance in New Moon on November 20.

Unfortunately, only five of the six actors are shown here, as Canadian actress/model Noot Seear isn't included in the photo leak. Seear will play the role of the beautiful Heidi in the film.

The actors in the photo include Christopher Heyerdahl as Marcus, Jamie Campbell Bower as Caius,Cameron Bright as Alec, Michael Sheen as Aro and Dakota Fanning as Jane. Has Dakota Fanning grown up or what?

Still a nice ensemble of the unique vampire clan that is sure to become famous from their inclusion in New Moon.

"Let the Right One In" Remake

Vampire Film

With the ongoing vampire craze in print and Hollywood, Cloverfield director Matt Reeves has signed on to make a remake of the Swedish cult horror film, "Let the Right One In," which is now called "Let Me In."

If you haven't ever seen it, it's the story of a young and lonely boy who is 12-years-old, befriended by a nice girl who had just moved in next door, and is a vampire.

The actual book was much more edgy than even the Swedish film version, which was considered "Let the Right One In" - light. So while fans of the film are opposed to a remake, it does make me wonder what the difference is when the story isn't really close to the book, and the Swedish film seen be very few people.

After all, you don't have to watch the remake if you don't want to.

Very Cool Vampire Tattoo

Vampire Tattoo

When it comes to vampire tattoos, there is a lot of similarity because of the obvious subject matter, which includes fangs and blood dripping down them.

There's also the fang bites, which can look pretty realistic as well.

But this tattoo of a vampire in flight is really well done, and it's definitely unique.

I really like how he has to stretch out his arms to get the desire effect.

50 Ideas for a Twilight Vampire Wedding

Twilight Vampire Wedding

Some Twilight fans are going all the way, as they're now including the Twilight theme as part of their wedding celebrations.

I don't know though, picture youself 30 years from now and explaining the reason for the fangs of you and your bridesmaids (I wonder if the groom wore fangs as well?).

Someone even went through the process of creating a video of 50 ideas to encourage and offer up ways to successfully be true to the vampire wedding theme.

By the way, did you notice the bouquets being held by the bridesmaids? Not you usual are they?

Edward Cullen and Bella Swan as Barbie dolls

Vampires

I guess it had to happen, and it has: the latest Barbie dolls are Edward Cullen and Bella Swan from Twilight, or should I say Robert Pattison and Kristen Stewart.

There's no doubt the young girls will snap up these latest creations from the popular vampire franchise of Stephanie Meyer.

I don't know though, Ken as the vampire boyfriend of Barbie? Somehow that doesn't really fit. But I guess Ken has been all sorts of things through the years, so why not a vampire? At least they made him with the golden eyes and unique skin tone.

Vampire Book | Guillermo del Toro's "The Strain"

Vampire Book

In a recent interview, director and new author Guillermo del Toro said when he was young he used to sleep and when he awoke, he would see monsters. (You can read the entire interview here, where he also talks about the Hobbit.)

That has had a profound affect upon him, and from seeing some of his films, you know that is true. He even believes what he saw was real and not his imagination.

What's relevant at Bizarre and Weird is the release of his first book, which he co-authored with Chuck Hogan.

Here's the book description from Amazon.com

The visionary creator of the Academy Award-winning Pan's Labyrinth and a Hammett Award-winning author bring their imaginations to this bold, epic novel about a horrifying battle between man and vampire that threatens all humanity. It is the first installment in a thrilling trilogy and an extraordinary international publishing event.

The Strain

They have always been here. Vampires. In secret and in darkness. Waiting. Now their time has come.

In one week, Manhattan will be gone. In one month, the country.

In two months--the world.

A Boeing 777 arrives at JFK and is on its way across the tarmac, when it suddenly stops dead. All window shades are pulled down. All lights are out. All communication channels have gone quiet. Crews on the ground are lost for answers, but an alert goes out to the CDC. Dr. Eph Goodweather, head of their Canary project, a rapid-response team that investigates biological threats, gets the call and boards the plane. What he finds makes his blood run cold.

In a pawnshop in Spanish Harlem, a former professor and survivor of the Holocaust named Abraham Setrakian knows something is happening. And he knows the time has come, that a war is brewing . . .

So begins a battle of mammoth proportions as the vampiric virus that has infected New York begins to spill out into the streets. Eph, who is joined by Setrakian and a motley crew of fighters, must now find a way to stop the contagion and save his city--a city that includes his wife and son--before it is too late.

You can click through the link below to get the book, or just take a look at the first chapter of the book, which is included on the Amazon page.

Great Fantasy Art of Woman Sitting On Skull with Huge Vampire Bat Behind Her

Vampire Bat

I love this type of fantasy art, and it's very unusal in that I haven't seen one quite like this before.

The gorgeous woman sitting on a skull with a vampire bat behind her is just too cool. But more than that, it's very well done.

A lot of people enjoy the mystique of the bat, and the vampire bat in particular, because there's no other genus; it's a one of a kind among bats.

The fact that vampire bats do at times suck the blood of humans makes it even more interesting.

How do you like this vampire art? In its fantasy art setting, I really appreciate the quality and the feel of it.

Bizarre Subcultures | The 'Non-human' Otherkin

Bizarre Subcultures

When investigating and looking at the Otherkin, it's a little bit hard to pinpoint specifics of who they are and what they represent. But one thing most of those that claim to be Otherkin, is that they are either not entirely human, or they aren't human at all.

Some of the things claimed by this subculture are they are trans-species, whereby somehow they were born in the wrong body.

Others make claims to being genetically different than humanity, citing things like a part of them being different than others, like how much hair on their body or different shapes of body parts than others have.

Another strange concept is they are travelers that entered into a body, and the original inhabitant or inhabitants are still there. Some believe the orginal inhabitant may have even left and others have entered to fill the vacuum.

Some of these things are attempted to be connected with incarnation, where a past incarnation has a strong impact on the present incarnation. I know, it gets weird. That's why I dubbed it a bizarre subculture.

Others calling themselves Otherkin go the vampire, angel, demon, elves, dragon and werewolf route, claiming all of these are part of a non-human existence on this earth, being lived in bodies looking humans.

It goes on and on. Much of it seems to be hyper-individual, and everyone claims to be something not human that comes in endless variations.

What do they do or represent? It doesn't seem to represent anything but to live in a fantasy world that helps them hide from the real world.

Vampires | 'True Blood' Meets 'Big Love'

Vampires

Saying the goal was to showcase a different type of family, this is certainly accomplished with the merger of the vampire theme of True Blood and the polygamy of Big Love, with the result being a human man with three vampire wives who have obviously taken turns taking a bite out of him.

The creator of the scenario said he was really surprised with the results, which astonished him, and will be a springboard to other future works in a similar genre.

Hey I got one - Twilight meets Sex in the City. Now that would be something to see.

Vampires | First Official Trailer for New Moon

Vampires

Hopefully this New Moon trailer stays live for awhile, as the typical battle between copyright infringement and uploads is already going on, as Viacom tries to keep the video from being seen outside of their control.

Anyway, this one has been kept up for some time, so hopefully when you see it, it'll still be running.

The trailer itself shows the deepening love between Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, and the decision he makes to leave her in order to protect her.

Then it swings to after he's gone, and conflict with Bella and other unsavory characters.

The finale of the transformation into a werewolf is great, you've go to see that.

Vampires | Cool Two-Eyed Girl Vampire Poster

Vampire Poster

This poster is a good lesson to all the guys. Just because you see a cute girl from behind wearing pigtails, doesn't mean she's safe.

It gets worse though. Not only does she have a good pair of vampire fangs, but when she bites you you have to look at those two different colored eyes. Talk about adding insult to injury.

That'll teach ya not to come with protection. Hehe.

Oh well, I really do like the pretty girl. I nominate her for the girl vampire next door! Anyone agree?

At least my home girl vampire in the photo below is right up front with it.

Vampire | Steven Klein's Violent Vampires in Latest Photoshoot

Vampire Photoshoots

Steven Klein loves to show the violent side of life, and he does it aggressively, as his latest photoshoot portrays vampires and the Joker in intense scenes.

Dubbing his latest creations "Lara fiction noire," Klein showcases his work in February edition of Vogue Paris.

Klein worked with fashion editor Marie Amelie Sauve in the shoot, and the blond female in the photo, who starred in the collection is Lara Stone.

These violent vampire photos are definitely disturbing. It does make me wonder what it is he's trying to say in them, other than attempting to shock people.

Vampires | Gruesome Vampire Photos the Rage

Vampire Photos

As shown in the above photo by Terry Richardson, anything vampire is popular, with a lot of that popularity being generated by the popular Twilight vampire series by Stephanie Meyer, which will have its second installment "New Moon" coming out later this year.

Of course I doubt the Twilight series will include photos and images like this, as it is attempting to be more of a love story, although vampire stories without a little "teeth" would probably be pretty dull (puns intended).

These vampire photos, especially in the case of the rope around the neck definitely push the limit, and show the interpretations of Richardson from quite a different mindset than Stephenie Meyers.

Vampires | Female Vampire Art After Feeding on Victim

Vampires

I like this particular vampire art, more than anything, because it's well done.

Not only are the eyes believable, as she has just finished feeding on a victim, but the background really adds to the overall effect, as it reveals the environment surrounding the incident and lifestyle of the female vampire.

Fantasy art of any kind is one of my favorites, and this is one of a growing number of vampire works I am starting to appreciate.
