Balanced Your Weight

You have to be really careful about your weight. Overweight can be a serious problem. Overweight equals lot of diseases. You can have serious problems if your body is overweight. The diseases will be haunting you from upper to lower part of every organs in your body.

Body Mass Index can help you counting your weight. An easy way to measure BMI is to use a BMI calculator. Once you know your BMI, it can be plotted on a standard BMI chart. For kids, they are fall into one of four categories:

1. underweight: BMI below the 5th percentile
2. normal weight: BMI at the 5th and less than the 85th percentile
3. overweight: BMI at the 85th and below 95th percentiles
4. obese: BMI at or above 95th percentile

BMI is used because, for most people, it correlates with their amount of body fat. For adults :

* An adult who has a BMI between 25 and 29.9 is considered overweight.
* An adult who has a BMI of 30 or higher is considered obese.
