mod*mom editorial :: parental controls for family game systems

mod*mom editorial
:: ratings + parental controls for family game systems

many of our kids have video games + game consoles on their wish lists.
video games are the easiest entertainment products for parents to control.
learn to set up parental controls for your family's game systems at esrb.org.

esrb (entertainment software rating board)
ratings are on game packages,
+ provide information about the age-appropriateness + content of games. parental control features on video game consoles allow us to configure the systems to limit children's access to games based on their
esrb ratings.
the front of game boxes display an
esrb rating symbol ranging from EC (early childhood 3+) to AO (adults only 18+). on the back, are content descriptions. you can also set up parental control features on the new generation of game consoles: microsoft xbox 360, nintendo wii + sony playstation 3.

sit with your children + play the games with them + use
esrb ratings to keep your children's video game play appropriate to their age + maturity.
