LUNA by Josandra Review
Josandra Armillas is the designer behind the namesake collection Luna by Josandra. A New York native, Josandra spent her formative years in Manhattan’s West Village, studying art under the tutelage of her mother, a lingerie designer for Christian Dior, and dance at the Joffrey Ballet. After graduating from Parsons School of Design, Josandra worked with Catherine Malandrino and J Mendel before launching a line of edgy, provocative, yet affordable designs in Spring 2008. The collection is characterized by highly feminized, fluid styles, and takes pleasure in surprising details: the never-before-seen print, the delicate pleat, the perfect drape-elements that transform clothing into wearable art.
My love for dress was instantaneous! It stood out amongst their Summer 2011 Collection. The unique pattern makes it flattering on the wearer's figure. Not only it is drop dead beautiful, but it fits like a dream! This frock will make your look effortless and cool on a balmy summer day.
I normally don't wear jumpsuits, but I couldn't resist selecting this for my review as well. Most of the jumpsuits I've seen in the past were either plain and/or ugly, but this one is full of personality and irresistible. Plus, it's fun to accessorize. If you need any hints for accessories, I suggest choosing one of the following accessories: Zad Gilded Age Brown and Gold Bangle Set ($23), In My Clutches Wooden Claw Necklace ($13), Sprig It Gold Laurel Bracelet ($14), Zad Genie of the Glen Wooden Necklace ($17), or Biker Babe Feather Earrings ($14). Don't be the least bit of surprised if you're showered with compliments when wearing this jumpsuit!
You can currently find the LUNA by Josandra collection at a small boutique in New York. Darling NYC is known for its outstanding dress selection. They're currently in the process of adding more stores where you can find and don this stunningly beautiful collection. In the mean time, you can click here to keep checking for other locations!
