Jennifer Hudson rushed to hospital with food poisoning
Jennifer Hudson was rushed to hospital to be treated for food poisoning - just moments after performing on US television.
The 29-year-old singer had just appeared on Good Morning America in New York when she was struck down with the bug.
“After performing on Good Morning America earlier today [Friday], Jennifer Hudson went to the hospital due to severe abdominal pains,” her rep confirmed.
“She was treated for food poisoning and released.”
Hudson shot to fame after being one of the finalists on the third season of American Idol in 2004.
In 2006 she won an Oscar for her role as Effie White in blockbuster movie Dreamgirls.
In April last year she became a spokesperson for Weight Watchers and has dropped at least 80lbs since signing up to the weight loss programme.
