Amber Portwood Pleads Not Guilty To Assault

Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was busted yesterday for beating the crap out of her ex-fiancee, Gary Shirley. She was taken into custody and booked on felony charges of domestic violence.

Even though there was video footage that MTV’s camera crews shot of Amber punching Gary, she has pleaded not guilty. She is still being held on a $5,000 bail, but is expected to be released sometime today.

According to reports, she has been prohibited from having any contact with her daughter Leah or Gary. The felony charges stem from the reports that she assaulted Gary with their baby daughter present. Otherwise, she would have been facing misdemeanor charges.

Either way, violence is not the answer. She is facing up to three years in jail and fines of up to $10,000 over the alleged incidents.
