Syair lagu berjudul "Keong Racun" itu memang menggelitik dan terdengar lucu. Kini lagu dangdut remix tersebut menjadi populer setelah disajikan secara lipsync oleh dua cewek, Sinta dan Jojo, dan diunggah (di-upload) ke YouTube. Nama Sinta dan Jojo, serta lagu "Keong Racun", jadi pembicaraan banyak orang. Video di YouTube itu berdurasi 5 menit dan 14 detik.
Selain lagu dan lirik yang terdengar lucu, gaya Sinta dan Jojo juga menggelitik. Kepala dan tangannya terus bergoyang mengikuti irama dangdut remix "Keong Racun".
Ketenaran Sinta dan Jolo di YouTube kini diikuti Putry Penelope. Duo Putry Penelope terdiri dari Cinta Penelope dan Putry Lama. Sinta dan Jojo menyanyikan lagu "Keong Racun" versi dangdut remix, Putry Penelope membawakannya dengan pop Melayu.
Lantaran banyak yang melihat Sinta dan Jojo di YouTube hingga mengunduh lagu "Keong Racun", Putry Penelope dibentuk. "Kami baru banget berdirinya, baru delapan hari lalu," kata Cinta saat ditemui di acara "Satu Tahun Mantap" di Thamrin City, Tanah Abang, Jakarta Pusat, Rabu (28/7/2010).

Cinta menuturkan, Putry Penelope dibuat oleh Charly, vokalis dan pentolan band ST12. Oleh Charly, lagu "Keong Racun" kemudian dibuat versi pop Melayu. Setelah diaransemen ulang, Charly meminta Putry Penelope untuk menyanyikannya.
"Kami juga sebenarnya baru dengar lagu 'Keong Racun' yang fenomenal itu. Begitu dibentuk, kami diberi tahu untuk take vokal lagu itu," ujar Cinta yang membantah duo Putry Penelope itu dibentuk untuk mendompleng ketenaran lagu "Keong Racun" ala Sinta dan Jojo. Selain banyak dilihat di YouTube, lagu "Keong Racun" juga sempat menjadi Trending Topic di jejaring sosial Twitter.
Begitu melihat "Keong Racun" yang fenomenal, Charly memburu lagu tesebut hingga menemukan pencipta lagu, penyanyinya Lisa, juga Sinta dan Jojo. Selain membeli lagu "Keong Racun", Charly juga akan melibatkan Sinta dan Jojo di proyeknya yang lain. Lagu "Keong Racun" memang belum ada di pasaran dan dijual dalam bentuk kaset ataupun CD. Video "Keong Racun" Sinta-Jojo juga membuat grup band ST12 kesengsem. Jovita Adityasari (19) alias Jojo, mahasiswi jurusan Hubungan Internasional (HI) Universitas Pasundan (Unpas), dan Shinta Nuriansyah (19), mahasiswi Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Bandung, itu berakting sambil duduk di sofa dengan gerak bibir menirukan lagu "Keong Racun".
Tidak tanggung-tangung, sejak diunggah pertama pada 18 Juni lalu hingga Jumat (30/7/2010) kemarin, video mojang Bandung ini sudah di-hit lebih dari 994.107 kali.
Jumlah tersebut merupakan sebuah hit atau open view yang menghebohkan karena biasanya hit sebesar itu hanya dimiliki oleh artis terkenal dalam rentang waktu tiga bulan di YouTube.
Karena itu, bangsa Indonesia boleh berbangga hati. Ternyata tak hanya berita skandal video porno yang diperankan Ariel "Peterpan" (29), Luna Maya (27), dan Cut Tari (33) yang bisa mendunia. Video Ariel dipelesetkan menjadi Ariel "Peterporn". Ternyata duet lipsync "Keong Racun" Shinta dan Jojo juga ramai diberitakan media asing.
