Animals in the Amazon Rainforest: Mammals

The Amazonian rainforest is a home to many different kinds of mammals. These include a tiny mouse lemur to wild cats, monkeys and apes. Most of the mammals of the Amazon rainforest are nocturnal. They are usually inconspicuous and hide behind the green cover of the forest tree tops. The different mammalian Amazon rainforest animals include armadillos, two toed slot, peccaries, etc. Primates like the tamrins, squirrel monkeys, etc. also called the Amazon rainforest their home.
